Holocaust Remembrance event set at SUNY

Bernard Adler

Hillel, in collaboration with ODEI Intercultural Center Speaker Series, is hosting a Holocaust Remembrance event at SUNY Fredonia.

The event is slated for Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Blue Lounge in the Williams Center.

The program, “A Tailor’s Journey: One Man’s Story of Survival During the Shoah,” will feature speaker Arnon Adler, who will be telling his father — Bernard Adler’s — story. Arnon is the father of SUNY Fredonia senior, 2026 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence recipient and Acting major, Sivan Adler, president of Hillel.

Last year, Sivan edited and published a Holocaust memoir by her grandmother, Irene Adler, entitled, “Who Will Take Care of the Cat?”

Content warning: Detailed descriptions of violence and anti-Semitism.

The event is supported by the Collingwood Diversity Endowment held at Fredonia College Foundation. It is free and open to the public.

Starting at $3.50/week.
