CHRIC celebrating NeighborWorks Week
MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation and Improvement Corporation (CHRIC) will be celebrating NeighborWorks Week from May 23 through June 7. During these weeks, the NeighborWorks network celebrates how organizations and residents work together to create opportunities, strengthen neighborhoods, and build a better future for all.
CHRIC will be hosting a celebratory community gathering on Saturday, June 6, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Lake Chautauqua Memorial VFW Post 8647, 10 Memorial Drive.
There will be a Chicken BBQ starting at Noon located outside at the pavilion. Tickets for the Chicken BBQ are $12.
Two Towns Classic Rock Band will be performing live starting at 1 p.m. Two Towns is a classic rock band focusing on popular songs of the 60s to the 90s that feature strong vocal harmonies and outstanding musicianship. Band members include Frank Beach, lead vocalist and bass; Deane Patterson, lead guitarist and vocalist; Kristin Britz, lead vocalist and guitar; Nancy Dietzen, drummer and lead vocalist. All who have graciously donated their time to this event, and we are most thankful and appreciative to them.
This celebration is open to the public on a first come first serve basis and will provide an opportunity for everyone throughout the region to join us for a day of fun for a great cause and to learn all about what CHRIC does for Chautauqua County and its residents!

The event will promote both CHRIC and NeighborWorks, celebrate NeighborWorks Week, and help educate the community about lead hazards. We will offer free games and prizes for children, to promote lead safety and share CHRIC’s other services with the public. There will also be a basket raffle, and you can take a chance to win a Cooler of Fun!

For 48 years, CHRIC has been improving the housing stock of Chautauqua County and the living conditions of its low-income residents. As a chartered NeighborWorks® organization, we provide leadership in strengthening communities and creating affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income families.
Over the past five years alone, CHRIC has created 348 New Homeowners, has counseled 1081 in Financial Literacy, Repaired or Rehabbed 798 owner-occupied homes, developed or preserved 184 rental homes, assisted 2,404 families in Chautauqua County, provided 745 volunteer hours, and provided a total of direct investment of $30,136,806 in Chautauqua County.
