Planning is underway for the fourth annual Westfield Grape and Wine Festival, scheduled to take place on Sept. 18 and 19 in Moore Park and at the Grape Discovery Center. An organizing committee has been meeting for weeks to finalize all the plans which promise something for everyone.
The Festival Mission is to bring the Westfield community together to celebrate our grape heritage, gathering neighbors, families, and visitors to enjoy time together and create lasting memories–while proudly sharing the best of our community, region, and supporting our local grape industry.
This year’s event will feature Musical Acts, Vineyard Tours, Grape Stomping, Grape Juice and Local Wine & Craft Beverage Tasting, Children’s Events, A Local Scavenger Hunt, Workshops and Classes, Pie Eating and Baking Contests, Alternative Grape Dessert Contest. And more! Plus, lots of local vendors.
The core organizing committee is comprised of Andy Campbell, Marilyn Hemmer, Derek Johson, Ed Pagano, Don and Judy McCord, Fred and Jennifer Johnson, Melissa Baideme, Tiffany Travis, and Gail Boardway. Volunteers are needed. Volunteers, vendors and other local organizations who wish to participate can email Don McCord or Andy Campbell at westfieldgrapeandwinefestival@gmail.com.
