Three charged after drug raid

A search warrant executed at a Jamestown apartment Friday has resulted in charges against three city residents.
Narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, the Jamestown Police Department and the Ellicott Police Department executed the warrant at 17 Norwood Ave., Jamestown, at 11:22 a.m. Friday.
Just prior to the search warrant being executed, investigators observed Tysean Mays leave the residence. Mays was stopped a short distance from the residence by Jamestown Police Department. At the time of the search Samantha Harley and Kody Scott were located inside the residence. As a result of the search, investigators seized 67 grams of fentanyl, 27.6 grams of crack cocaine, 93.4 grams of methamphetamine, scales and packaging material used for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $605.
Mays, Harley and Scott were all charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. All were taken to Jamestown City Court for arraignment.
Harley, 34, was charged Feb. 18 with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, third-degree criminal trespass, and petit larceny. According to police, at about 8:45 p.m., officers were called to Walmart, 350 E. Fairmount Ave., for a shoplifting and trespass incident. Upon arrival, officers located Harley, and she was found to be in alleged possession of a powdery, white narcotic-appearing substance contained in a small plastic bag, along with a small scale. Harley was placed into custody and taken to the LBPD station for further investigation. Police said the substance found in her purse later tested positive for .75 grams of cocaine, and the scale was allegedly used to weigh controlled substances. Harley was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized processing, and will be in Busti Town Court later.
Harley and Scott were charged Nov. 12 after an incident in the town of Ellicott. Harley with second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree harassment, two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, while Kody J. Scott was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree reckless endangerment, and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 10 a.m., officers responded to a report of a woman and man allegedly assaulting a tow truck driver who was attempting to repossess their vehicle. It is alleged Harley and Scott were in a physical altercation with the driver after Harley attempted to strike the victim with a vehicle, and Scott allegedly pulled a knife on the victim. Both Harley and Scott were located nearby. Upon further investigation, officers found an alleged quantity of drugs.
