United Way AG Team Golf tourney is June 22
Registration is open for golfers interested in supporting United Way through its annual charity golf classic, scheduled this year for Monday, June 22 at Shorewood Country Club.
More than just a round of golf, this annual tournament is a meaningful day that helps strengthen our community by funding the work of United Way of Chautauqua County.
Presented again by title sponsor AG Team, this tournament continues a long-standing tradition in northern Chautauqua County of individuals, businesses and agencies coming together for United Way’s largest fundraising event.
“This tournament has become something our community really looks forward to each year,” said Tyler Gotowka, Golf Committee Chair. “It’s a great day on the course, but more importantly, it’s an opportunity to come together and support the important work United Way is doing across Chautauqua County. We’re excited to build on that momentum for our 13th year.”
In addition to the tournament play, the event will feature a variety of activities and opportunities to win items, including basket raffles, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and interactive games on the course.
Registration will begin at 9am, with a 10am tee-off. Participants will enjoy a full day on the course, with both lunch and dinner included in the cost of registration. Golfers can register individually for $125 per player or take advantage of the group rate of $600 for a foursome. To register, text “uwchqgolf” to 41444.
“Having been involved in organizing tournaments before, I know how much goes into creating a great experience for players — and this event really delivers,” said Tony Lynn, Golf Committee Member and representative of Chadwick Bay Broadcasting, the event’s media sponsor. “From the golf to the raffles and everything in between, it’s a fun, well-run day that also makes a real impact. Chadwick Bay Broadcasting is proud to support it as this year’s media sponsor.”
