SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main St. has announced programming for the month of June. Programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. The library will be closed on Friday, June 19 for Juneteenth.

— Pre-school Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday, June 4 with Miss Jill at 10:30 am. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Pre-registration is requested. Please note that this is the only pre-school storytime scheduled in June. Summer Reading Storytime for all ages starts Thursday, July 2.

— School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday, June 4 at 10:30 am with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Pre-registration is requested. — Silver Creek Children’s Fair, Saturday, June 6 from 10-2:30pm: Come visit us at the Silver Creek Children’s Fair in the ballpark behind the library. Make an origami frog, dance in the bubbles from the bubble machine and pickup information about summer reading, “Unearth a Story!”

— Fiber Arts Club: Learn to Embroider, for ages 9 and older, Thursday June 11 from 5:30-7 pm. This class is focused on those just learning, but all levels of skill are welcome. All materials are provided. Registration is required and spots are limited.

— Lego Club for ages 5-12, Thursday, June 11 at 6:30pm. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is required.

— All Ages Bingo Night, Tuesday, June 16 at 6pm. This first day of summer themed bingo night will include several rounds of bingo, prizes and snacks! All ages are welcome and registration is required. This will be the third in a series of themed bingo nights each month, with the goal of providing additional free, family friendly programming to our community. Join us!

— “Unearth a Story” Summer Reading Registration Monday June 22-Saturday, June 27. Stop in anytime the library is open this week to register for summer reading. Those 0-17 years old receive a free book for doing so. Pick up a schedule of all our summer reading festivities!

Summer Reading Kick-off Petting Zoo, Thursday, June 25 at 6pm. Join us in the ball park behind the library to register for summer reading and visit the farm animals of Sun-Dance-Kids Farm! All ages are welcome to register for summer reading.

— Mahjong Club, Tuesdays and Fridays at 1pm. Stop in for a game or stop in to learn how to play with those who love to share their love of the game! No registration required.

— The Secret Society of the Twisted Stitchers: Fridays from 2-4pm. This club is for all who love handiwork. Ages 10 and older and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, bring size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and a light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). For crochet, bring a size H hook and light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). Come and learn or come and work on a project with others who love to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt etc.! No registration required. You do not need to commit to each week to attend. Please stop in and stitch!

Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
