New Little Free Library in Stockton
Seymour Stockton Library is the recipient of a brand new Little Free Library. Designed, built, and installed by the United Brotherhood of Carpentry Classroom from Job Corps in Cassadaga, this structure is registered with littlefreelibrary.org, which allows you to see every registered Little Free Library in the country. This installation provides books for free – you can take a book, swap a book, or just drop off a book at any time, even when the library is closed! Library book drop off is still at the library rear entrance. The library was excited to work with a local vocational training facility – a partnership that provides us with things like the LFL and assistance at events; and also giving the students a chance for real-life experiences. Job Corps is a valuable asset to the community. Open Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Seymour Stockton provides free wifi, computers, a printer, and the usual books, movies, and audiobooks. Activities for children and events can be found on our social media at Stockton & Cassadaga Libraries – we are on Facebook, Instagram and even TikTok! July 11 is the kick-off for Summer Reading. The library is bringing back its popular Ice Cream Social in the front yard and out back will be the Chautauqua County SWAT Team! Stay tuned to social media and this publication for details.
