The price of part of an old shopping plaza that has been torn down in Dunkirk for future housing has been revealed.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from March 22-31. The county does not provide transaction information, but real estate documents are available for review at the clerk’s office.

During this time period, Beta of Dunkirk, LLC sold 160-165 East 4th St., Dunkirk to Dunkirk Landing, LLC for $320,000.

This is the location of the former Family Dollar and Veterans Affairs Clinic in the strip mall. Family Dollar relocated a few years ago to a different section of the plaza, which still remains.

Regan Development Corp., which owns Dunkirk Landing, LLC, is in the process of constructing a 48-unit apartment complex there. It has completely torn down the old plaza section and has gated off the area.

Developers previously said they want to have the apartment complex open by the fall of 2027.

Including the previous sale listed, there were five sales that were $300,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 6963 Finley Road, Portland sold for $400,000.

– 4977 Rt. 474, Ashville, town of North Harmony, sold for $390,000.

– 8 Ivy Lane, Lakewood sold for $385,000.
