SILVER CREEK -- The Silver Creek Village Wide Yard Sales take place on Saturday.
The village and its surrounding area will be full of shoppers looking for that special antique, collectible, appliance, back to school clothes or that "just gotta have it" item.
Participants received a grape poster to be displayed in a prominent location the day of the sale.
Those homes have properly registered and paid a nominal fee. The Village requests the shoppers make a special effort to patronize those sales as their registration money will be supporting scholarships for two local students.
The yard sales will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. Participating homes will offer "Bargains" taking place from 3:01 to 5 p.m. Those homes will be designated on the yard sale list and will be offering reduced prices.
The list of sales will be available in the park from 9 a.m. until noon for a nominal fee on Saturday. Net proceeds will also go toward the scholarships.
The Chamber of Commerce is no longer conducting the yard sales and the Village of Silver Creek has taken the lead. Though the sales have been operating for over 30 years, it is only the second for the village. Please be patient with the changes.
