PORTLAND - A field day demo for grape and fruit growers is slated for Wednesday.
Grape and fruit growers and industry professionals can see the latest advances in spray technology during an all-day meeting and demonstration hosted by Penn State Extension.
The Lake Erie Regional Grape Program Sprayer Technology Field Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 12, at the Cornell Lake Erie Research and Extension Laboratory (CLEREL), 6592 W. Main St., Portland.
Participants will have the opportunity to see current and emerging spray technologies in action while learning from guest experts representing Cornell University, Michigan State University and Washington State University.
Presentations and field demonstrations will highlight practical insights into innovations that can improve application efficiency, crop protection, and vineyard and orchard management.
Participants can earn two pesticide applicator credits in the core category, and one credit each in categories 2, 18 and private category.
Organizers encourage participants to register by Aug. 11. The registration fee is $30.
