Audubon birdseed order deadline nearing
Trending
Give your feathered friends a mid-fall treat and stock up on their favorite birdseed at a special price during Audubon Community Nature Center's (ACNC) Fall Birdseed Sale.
Orders are due by Sunday, Sept. 27 with the most popular seeds and mixes available for you to stock up on at 10% - 20% off Audubon's regular birdseed prices.
Unique to Audubon, Conewango Blend was developed by ACNC to attract favorite and common species of the region such as chickadees, cardinals, and titmice. There are also suet cakes for woodpeckers and a mix to attract finches.
Non-Nature Center members receive 10% off ACNC’s birdseed retail prices; Nature Center members receive an additional 10% off (20% total).
You can place your order by calling (716) 569-2345 during business hours, stopping by the Nature Center, or ordering online at AudubonCNC.org/shop.
Volunteers will load your seed into your vehicle when you pick it up on Saturday, Oct. 17 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. That day the Blue Heron Gift Shop in the Nature Center also has a 10% discount on most merchandise, including a variety of bird feeders and nest boxes.
Audubon's Conewango Blend is available year-round in the Blue Heron Gift Shop and at Allegheny Outfitters, Warren; Ashville General Store, Ashville; Lighthouse Point Grocery, Mayville; and Wegmans, Jamestown.
Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. You can visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve and visit with Audubon’s live birds of prey, enjoy the native tree arboretum, and hike the six miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free.
The three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays, a collection of live animals and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1-4:30 p.m. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.
