Chautauqua County Legislator Tom Harmon of Silver Creek is seeking re-election. He has issued the following statement:
"I am seeking reelection as Chautauqua County Legislator for District 6 to continue my dedicated service, marked by a strong record of bipartisan leadership and community-first values.
"My primary goal as an elected official is to prioritize local county needs over national political polarization, focusing on practical solutions that improve the lives of residents in our towns and neighborhoods.
"I believe county government should be about results, not party lines. I have consistently worked across the aisle to support responsible budgeting, economic development, and essential public services.
"Northern Chautauqua County has seen a change in infrastructure - teardowns, new builds and the sale of the hospital - and I would like to continue working with the town and village to keep us moving forward to achieve future goals and keep this district a leader in the county and community.
"As a resident of the county for 30+ years, I am passionate about the success of keeping all residents in my best interest.
"Please vote on Nov. 3, 2026."
