Alexandria Moss, Esq., a longtime Chautauqua County resident and experienced family law attorney, has announced her candidacy for Chautauqua County Family Court judge.
With more than a decade of experience in family law and nearly a decade representing children in Family Court proceedings, Moss is seeking the opportunity to bring her legal experience, commitment to children and families, and understanding of the local community to the Family Court bench.
Moss is a 2007 graduate of Fredonia High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Fredonia in 2011 before attending Syracuse University College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2014. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2015.
Since 2017, Moss has served as an Attorney for the Child, representing and advocating for the interests of children involved in Family Court proceedings. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with children and families navigating difficult and often emotional circumstances.
Her experience has provided her with firsthand insight into the complexities of Family Court and the importance of ensuring that every individual who comes before the court is heard and treated with dignity and respect.
"Family Court has a profound impact on the lives of children and families," said Moss. "I believe that everyone who enters the courtroom deserves to be treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. My years of experience representing children and working with families have given me a deep understanding of the responsibility that comes with serving in Family Court."
Moss continues to call Dunkirk home, where she lives with her son, Owen. As someone who was raised and educated in Chautauqua County, she is proud to seek the opportunity to serve the community that has shaped her life.
If elected, Moss would bring her extensive family law experience, commitment to the interests of children, and dedication to the fair and impartial administration of justice to the Chautauqua County Family Court bench.
"I am honored to be running for Chautauqua County Family Court Judge and to have the opportunity to serve the families of the community I have called home for so many years," Moss said. "I look forward to meeting with members of our community, listening to their concerns, and sharing my vision for a Family Court that serves children and families with fairness, compassion, and integrity."
