WMH Foundation gives thanks, holds ‘10 Days of Giving’

AHN Westfield Hospital Administrator Dr. Rodney J. Buchanan looks on as Patricia Gaughan DiPalma, Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation (WMHF) executive director, spins the golden drum for the Foundation’s ’10 Days of Giving for WMH” fundraiser. The drum will soon be filled with raffle tickets for drawings beginning in mid-November.

The Thanksgiving season begins a little earlier than usual this year at Westfield Memorial Hospital, as the WMH Foundation kicks off its fourth annual "10 Days of Giving for WMH" Raffle. Once again, the Foundation is counting on the generous support of our community for this much-loved fundraiser, which helps support our beloved community hospital and the patients and families it serves.

As sponsors of "10 Days of Giving for WMH" Raffle, the Foundation Board of Directors would like to thank its many donors in the hospital's 14 service areas and neighboring communities. Numerous businesses and individual donors have stepped up to donate more than $16,000 worth of incredible prizes.

Tickets can be purchased in the hospital lobby or by seeking WMHF Executive Director Patty DiPalma or a Foundation board member.

Every day for 10 consecutive days, beginning Monday, Nov. 16 leading to Thanksgiving, a lucky winner will be chosen to win one of the following prizes:

--- Day 1, Nov. 16 Four Night - Caribbean Cruise with Buffalo Bills Legends - compliments of Sojourn Travel Advisors and Full Strength Coffee

--- Day 2, Nov. 17 Dewalt 60 V 20" Chainsaw compliments of Westfield Ag & Turf

--- Day 3, Nov. 18 Napoleon Beverage Fridge compliments of ACME Appliances

--- Day 4, Nov. 19 Hilarious Getaway at Chautauqua Harbor Hotel. Includes overnight accommodations for 2, tickets to National Comedy Center and Lucy/Desi Museum

--- Day 5, Nov. 20 Ladies & Men Designer Sunglasses compliments of Drs. Steven and Carolyn Ihrig

--- Day 6, Nov. 21 Athenaeum Hotel: one-night stay for two with gate passes and parking

--- Day 7, Nov. 22 Koda Pizza Oven and Accessories compliments of ADD Lumber

--- Day 8, Nov. 23 Smart TCL 50" TV compliments of West Herr Auto Group

--- Day 9, Nov. 24 Concord Electric Bike - compliments of Fredonia Walmart

--- Day 10, Nov. 25 BUF Hyatt Regency: one night stay + BPO tickets + dinner at Chef's

Multiple daily 'Runner Up' drawings will also be conducted, and lucky winners can expect to win gift certificates valued at a minimum of $50 compliments of: Blasdell Pizza, Buttercream Babe, Chautauqua Health & Fitness, D&F Travel – trip to NYC, Jacks Barcelona Drive-In, Parkview Café, Temple Street Dental, Tim Hortons, TOPS Friendly Markets, TW Biggins, Salvatore's Italian Gardens, Wegmans and the White Inn. Gas cards from Citgo and Kwik Fill are also available.

There's more! Other daily runner-up drawings will include artisan crafted pottery from Reno Pottery and vouchers to both Buffalo and Erie Philharmonic orchestras. For those who 'scream for ice cream', Wells Enterprises/Blue Bunny has donated a gift card and coupons for all 52 weeks of the year.

Calarco's Italian Restaurant, Churchill's Bourbon & Brew at Presque Isle Downs, Quagliana's Bark Grill and Westfield Nursery also donated gift certificates while The Athenaeum Hotel, Chautauqua Harbor Hotel, Chautauqua Suites and Seneca Gaming provided overnight accommodations for two. Gift baskets were donated by The Invention Room and Johnson Estate Winery. Westfield Ag & Turf contributed a DeWalt Chainsaw. Finally, a priceless Tage Thompson No. 72 autographed hockey stick and a hockey puck were donated by the Buffalo Sabres.

With so many prizes you and our community have a great chance of winning. Tickets cost only $20 each or 3 for $50.

We are pleased to introduce a new "Golden Ticket" opportunity this year. Only 100 tickets will be sold at $100 each. The winner will have first choice of one of our top ten premier prizes. Simply write donor's choice on the golden ticket stub and return with payment to the Foundation office.

Many are familiar with the hospital foundation's mission and how it helps the hospital remain on the cutting edge of patient care. Now in its 48th Anniversary year, the WMHF, via its generous donors, continues its philanthropy by promoting outstanding healthcare.
