A campground in Ashville is under new ownership.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Aug. 21-26. The county does not provide transaction information, but real estate documents are available for review at the clerk's office.
During this time period, John and Christine Schuyler sold 434 Hoag Rd., Harmony to Aspen Acres Campground, LLC of Ashville for $250,000.
The new manager of the campground declined to comment about the sale, other than to say they are closed for the winter but will reopen in April.
From Aug. 21-26, there were seven sales that were $300,000 or higher. They are as follows:
- 2340 West Lake Road, Busti sold for $567,812.
- 16 Knight St., Mayville sold for $400,000.
- 7 Briggs St., Lakewood sold for $395,000.
- 141E. Virginia Blvd., Jamestown sold for $380,000.
- 6036 Rt. 5, Portland sold for $370,000.
- 7570 Martin Wright Road, Westfield sold for $357,000.
- 7395 Bowers Rd., Stockton sold for $325,000.
