Fredonia echoes with disgust this morning after yet another boil water order was issued. The terrible shape of the village’s water infrastructure has caught up with it again. A little after 9 a.m., the Village of Fredonia Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with the Village Water Treatment Plant and the County Department of Health, issued the boil order for Fredonia water customers. “High turbidity levels leaving the water treatment plant” was the stated reason for the latest boil order. Neighbors of a proposed $70 million development of the former Point Chautauqua Golf Club are filing arguments in state Supreme Court in advance of April’s oral arguments in state Supreme Court. Chautauqua town officials approved the project in January. The $70 million development will include condominiums, townhouses, single family homes, and a restaurant/tap house.
