Special to the OBSERVER

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Memorial Post 6390 Auxiliary celebrated the 30th anniversary of its charter on Saturday night, Nov. 9, along with the recognition of veterans, in the banquet room at the post. Five charter members were present and received white rose corsages donated by Hamlet Farms in Sheridan.

The symbol of a 30th anniversary being the pearl, all the members attending wore their pearl jewelry, and the table centerpieces featured pearls as well. Dinner and dancing was enjoyed by veterans, auxiliary members, and their guests.

A Toys for Tots box and also a bin for items to be sent to active military deployed overseas sponsored by the Blue Star Mothers Lake Erie Chapter are available at the post for donations.

The Sheridan VFW auxiliary meets on the second Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Post on 2556 Route 20.

All members are encouraged to attend meetings and be involved. The December meeting will be the annual Christmas party for members to be held at the post during the regular meeting time on Dec. 9. All members are invited and can RSVP by signing up at the post or calling 672-6011.
