Special to the OBSERVER
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Memorial Post 6390 Auxiliary celebrated the 30th anniversary of its charter on Saturday night, Nov. 9, along with the recognition of veterans, in the banquet room at the post. Five charter members were present and received white rose corsages donated by Hamlet Farms in Sheridan.
The symbol of a 30th anniversary being the pearl, all the members attending wore their pearl jewelry, and the table centerpieces featured pearls as well. Dinner and dancing was enjoyed by veterans, auxiliary members, and their guests.
A Toys for Tots box and also a bin for items to be sent to active military deployed overseas sponsored by the Blue Star Mothers Lake Erie Chapter are available at the post for donations.
