Fredonia at top spot as final push begins

The crowd at the Opera House was plentiful at the rally, even though it started around 6:30 a.m.

It comes down to tonight and Tuesday.

The Small Business Revolution has announced Fredonia, through this afternoon, remains in first place in the contest to win a $500,000 revitalization. Voting ends at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Monday’s voting update was announced before 2 p.m. In the Facebook post, Small Business Revolution notes: “This is the final standings update we will post before voting closes. … Keep those votes rolling in — a lot could change with 24 hours left on the clock.”

Chautauqua County Chamber of Commmerce sent out this plea today as well: “We are getting down to the wire! Fredonia remains in first place, but larger communities are close behind and it’s a tight race,” the e-mail read. “We need support from all of Western New York to win this. Keep up the great work and vote!”
