OBSERVER Photos An investigation is continuing after a vehicle hit a car and later a tree in the city. According to Dunkirk Police, a driver, whose name was not released Wednesday, apparently hit a vehicle on the corner of Park Avenue and Fourth Street (yellow car), causing serious damage. The driver then took off and a short time later hit a tree on Sixth Street, near Washington Avenue around 2:30 p.m. (silver car). Police say the driver did not appear to be seriously injured, although he was expected to be taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
