Four new cases revealed in county; tally at 18

Four more positive coronavirus cases have been reported in Chautauqua County. These cases involve a male in his 30s, a male in his 70s, and two females in their 50s.

The new cases, according to the county map, come from the north and eastern portion of the county. North county cases are now at 12, with south county cases at four and two in the east.

It brings the county total to 18 with 12 active cases of area residents who continue to recover under orders of the Local Health Official per state Public Health Law. Five people have recovered here while there was one death.

In addition, 180 tests have been negative with 97 cases under quarantine and isolation orders by the Public Health Director and being monitored. Not all of those being monitored are confirmed to have COVID-19 but have either shown symptoms, are awaiting results, or have risk factors.
