Dunkirk native earns honors as doctor
On Sept. 23, Dr. Frederick L. Conti was awarded a Life Achievement Award in Akron, Ohio for his 42 years of service to his Podiatric profession.
Dr. Conti was brought up in Dunkirk by his parents Dr. Anthony and Laura Conti. He attended School 4, where he was president of his sixth grade class, and was a 1965 graduate of Dunkirk High School where he was president of his 1965 senior class.
He studied at Shenandoah University in Virginia, then on to the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where he received his degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He had a residency in Youngstown, Ohio, and in 1972 started his practice in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Conti was on the Board of the International Council of Podiatric Laser Surgery and Academy of Ambulatory Foot Surgeons.
Dr. Conti is currently retired, living in Akron, Ohio.
