Food drive delivers at Christmas

CIAO and community members went beyond expectations! Along with monetary donations, two truckloads of nonperishable food and goodies were collected and donated to Willow Mission on Dec. 12. The drop off area in Silver Creek was manned by Lynda Mosher and her helping elves, Brooklyn and Mikayla Cross, Sara Ras, and Sophia Bell. Contactless donations were collected also in Fredonia on Carol Avenue by Nance Ortolano.
Many members and community members went beyond expectations, donating bags of complete meals from meat to dessert, numerous canned foods and nonperishable staples such as pasta and rice. Donations also included multiple bags as well as individual wrapped candy, chips, and cookies for the children.
Mosher, CIAO member and chairwoman, would like to thank all who participated and donated this annual event. "It is truly the season of giving," she said.
