Amid the craziness of the pandemic, Pine Valley Drama Club has found some joy and excitement in the form of a musical. On April 30 at 7 p.m. the Drama Club will be digitally streaming a professional recording of the musical “The Hello Girls.”

After the show had to be canceled last year due to the pandemic — mere weeks before show night — the students were more than excited to get the green light for the show. The directors, cast and crew members have worked hard to provide a safe environment for everyone to do what they love best — put on a musical.

“The Hello Girls” is a musical that follows the stories of the first women to join the U.S. Armed Forces during World War I as switchboard operators and their fight to make this way to the front lines. It is a modern retelling of a critical part of history in the struggle for Women’s Rights.

Tickets can be purchased at pvdc.booktix.com. By purchasing a digital stream link, you will be given access to view the professionally recorded production. You can also purchase concession stand items that would normally sell at live shows.

All food items can be picked up on April 30 between 4-6 p.m. at Pine Valley High School.

The club will also be hosting a chicken barbecue dinner April 30 between 4-6 p.m. at Pine Valley High School. Preorder dinners until April 23 at pvdc.booktix.com for $12.

At pvdc.booktix.com there are packages available bundling the digital stream link, chicken dinners, and concession stand items for great deals while also supporting the program.
