Fredonia students nominated for Kenny Awards
Fredonia High School seniors Madonnina Gullo and Timothy Davis have been nominated for Kenny Awards, celebrating excellence in high school theater.
In past years, schools would be selected as finalists and Kenny judges would come to view their production.
This year, due to COVID, students had to create and submit videos of acting, singing and dancing. Madonnina and Tim were selected from among 193 applicants and were the only two students nominated from Chautauqua County.
Gullo was nominated for Outstanding Leading Actress, an all-around award that encompasses acting, singing and dancing. If she wins, she will go on to compete in the National Jimmy Awards.
Davis was nominated for Outstanding Vocal Performance.
Both Timothy and Madonnina can be seen in their final Fredonia High School musical, “The Drowsy Chaperone,” which is available to watch virtually through May 17. For more information, visit fredoniamusical.com.
