A recent Silver Creek Class of 1965 reunion was filled with memories for one family.
Special guests Jenn Decker Kassan and her daughters, Sami and Ashley, and friend Wendi ventured from Florida to join the class. Kassan is the daughter of the late Pam Ordel who was a Class of 1965 member and died when Kassan was only 2 years old.
Kassan reached out on Facebook asking if anyone knew about her mom. Several class members read it and a connection was made.
It was decided the Class of ’65 would invite her to the reunion so she could meet members of the class who were friends of her mother. Kassan gratefully accepted and attended the reunion. She was able to meet her mom’s best friends, lunch buddies and a variety of people who knew her mom.
A book of memorabilia, prepared by Sally Bolling Crisanti on behalf of the class, was presented to Kassan.

It contained pictures of her mom, from freshman to senior year.
The reunion took place July 13 and 14 with an informal gathering at the Silver Creek Firehouse in Silver Creek the first day, and the reunion on July 14 at Russell Joy Park in Fredonia. Forty-four class members and their guests from Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Syracuse, Orchard Park, East Aurora, Buffalo, and the local area were in attendance. In celebration of the Reunion along with the birthday of Carol Wells Calarco, a cake by The Cakery of Fredonia and a verse of happy birthday was enjoyed by all.
