Literacy Volunteers working to promote local artisans

Pictured is a note card created by Lisa Schultz, an area photographer.

In keeping with Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County’s policy of “engaging with the community,” the agency is promoting local artisans at The Next Chapter Bookstore.

Local artisans will be able to display and sell their wares in the bookstore.

Photographer Lisa Schultz is the first “featured artisan”

“Photography, for me, started out as being a way to escape the negativity that was going on in my life and in the world around me. It has become a spiritual journey for me in which each shot is seen and felt,” Schultz said.

She will be selling her photo note cards at the bookstore.
