ALWAYS ON PAR: Tree planted in memory

A flowering tree in memory of June Beers was recently dedicated by her Pinehurst golf league, the “ParTee Girls.” The tree was purchased through the generosity of her former golf mates and friends in the community. A generous donation from Westfield Nursery helped bring this gift into reality. The group would also like to extend a thank you to Pinehurst Golf Course for all its assistance and for allowing the group to plant this memorial on their course. Please think of June when you pass the tree on your way to number one tee and on your way off the course after hole number nine next time you are there. Pictured from left are: Kim Underwood, President of Pinehurst ParTee Girls Ladies League, the family of honored past member June Beers; Jay Beers, Crow Beers, Jessie Beers, and Pinehurst owner Nolan Swanson. Eldest son Jason Beers lives out of state and was unavailable for the photo.
