Chautauqua County Fair tickets on sale

Tickets for the 2026 Chautauqua County Fair are now on sale in your community and online. The fair runs July 21 to 26 at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds in Dunkirk. Gates open at 9 a.m., with the rides starting at 1 p.m., weather permitting and subject to state inspection approval. Online tickets can be purchased at www.chautauquacofair.org/admission for $11.50, or in person at the establishments listed below for $10. CASSADAGA — The Village Board made resolutions authorizing the purchase of materials to correct an issue on Park Avenue at its latest meeting, as well as a payment for street sweeping services in the village. Trustee Danna DuBois commended Bob Frank Jr. and his father, Bob Frank Sr., who is helping with the DPW part-time, for their work in recent weeks. Dunkirk Mayor Kate Wdowiasz has announced her own city government meeting Friday. The OBSERVER received notice Wednesday afternoon of a “Mayor Wdowiasz Department Head Meeting” set for 1 p.m. Friday in the Stearns Building Conference Room. The notice was emailed to 17 recipients — including all five Common Council members. City department heads and members of the media also got the notice. First Amendment concert set for Sunday On Sunday, Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment, an uplifting evening of song, solidarity, and action, will be streamed across the country, featuring an all-star lineup of performers.
