Kristi M. Jones, 24, of Dunkirk was charged Wednesday after allegedly stabbing her husband in the chest following a domestic dispute turned violent.

The stabbing occurred at Lakeside Trailer Park, 3711 State Route 5 in the town of Dunkirk at approximately 6:30 a.m.

According to New York State Police, the male victim was treated at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk and is listed in good condition.

Jones was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

She was arraigned in Dunkirk Town Court and sent to Chautauqua County jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail/$60,000 property bond.

Animal Control was on scene along with Child Protection Services. The Dunkirk Police Department was initially on scene and assisted with the arrest.
