BOCES students construct confections
Culinary Arts Instructor Dave Caccamise and Principal Joe Pagan admire the gingerbread landscapes created by students for the annual three-week competition.
Yulliza Soto (Forestville) and Andrew Tooley (Fredonia) finished second place for the senior class portion of the BOCES LoGuidice Center Culinary Arts program’s gingerbread house competition.
Senior Nate Brown wanted to create a “summer scene” for Santa’s off-season.
This Asian-inspired gingerbread house, constructed by Chris Houghton of Brocton, took second place for the junior competition.
Taking first place for the seniors was Cameron Forster, of Fredonia. Forster built the first-ever gingerbread bird house.
