Anita E. Forthman, 71, of Silver Creek, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, Dec 23, 2020, at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, N.Y.

She was born Jan. 13,1949, in Holland, N.Y., the daughter of the late Henry and Kathleen (Lockhart) Moore.

Surviving are four sons: David (Tina) Forthman of Salamanca, Steven (Erin) Forthman of Silver Creek, Michael (Stacey) Forthman of Gowanda, N.Y., and Jason (Laura) Forthman of Louisa, Va,; 10 grandchildren: Alana, Lindsey, Josh, Emma, Kayla, Logan, Jesse, Brandon, Devon and Shyann; and a sister, Kathleen Kephart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Forthman (2014); two brothers: Henry and Robert Moore; and one sister, Dianne Bieber.

Anita worked as an aide for NYS Psychiatric and Group Homes throughout WNY mostly in the Buffalo area. She belonged to the CSEA/AFSCME Local 0903.

Anita enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and any type of puzzle. She especially loved taking trips with her grandchildren to the beach. She was a kind and caring person who would help anybody in need.

Services will be private. Arrangements by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, N.Y.
