Dunkirk High School has announced its valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2021.
Mia Piede, the valedictorian, will be attending the State University of New York at Fredonia in the fall and majoring in psychology to someday become a psychiatrist.
She will be a member of SUNY Fredonia's Honors Program. She has been the president of her class for four years. She also served as band president and Student Council president. She has been a member of the National Honor Society since her sophomore year.
Mia had also been the vice president in Student Council and was the band president for two years. She played varsity soccer for fours and ran track for four years.
Olivia Corbett, salutatorian, is attending D'Youville in the fall and majoring in pharmaceutical science to someday become a pharmacist. Olivia has been the secretary of he class for four years, played varsity soccer her freshman year, has been on the varsity bowling team since she was in seventh grade. The team won the state championship her sophomore year, were on their way to the State Championship her junior year when it was canceled, and they won Sectionals this year.), and she played JV softball her freshman and sophomore years and varsity her senior year.
She has also danced at Infinity Dance Academy for 15 years. She has been a member of the National Honor Society since her sophomore year.
