Fredonia treasurer, clerk extended by board
The Fredonia Board of Trustees extended the terms of Clerk Annemarie Johnston and Treasurer Erlyssa LeBeau last week.
Their terms were set to expire on Jan. 11. They will now be in office until Jan. 11, 2023. The resolution making the moves stated that they were supposed to have been hired for two-year terms originally, according to the village charter.
The board, which features four newly elected members, went into a 65-minute executive session about personnel appointment issues soon after convening Monday.
Soon after they got back into open session, Mayor Douglas Essek made brief remarks about the new board. “I think we’re going to have a very productive couple of years,” he said.
Dave Bird, Jon Espersen, Nicole Siracuse and Michelle Twichell join holdover James Lynden on the board. Siracuse attended Monday’s meeting at Village Hall remotely, while the rest of the board was there in person.
The board’s next meeting is today at 6:30 p.m.
