Reward offered as town homicide nears 1 year

A reward is being offered for information in the June 2021 homicide of a 41-year-old man whose body was found in the early morning hours outside a town of Dunkirk motel.
Crime Stoppers WNY is offering the reward, up to $7,500, contingent upon the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible for the death of Andrew Garner.
Troopers based at the Fredonia police barracks were asked around 2:45 a.m. the morning of June 11, 2021, to check on the welfare of a person at the South Shore Motor Lodge in Dunkirk.
The body of a man later identified as Garner was found by troopers in the parking lot of the 5040 Route 5 property.
Garner was previously identified as a Jamestown resident though his most recent address was not known.
The New York State Police confirmed that the man’s death was the result of a homicide.
No further details, including how many times Garner had been shot or of a possible motive, have been released by police.
