The Ivy League Psychic Academy in Dunkirk has joined the New York State Haunted History Trail.
The “trail” is actually a website that compiles haunted places across the state. It helps spooky-loving tourists plan their itineraries.
Two other northern Chautauqua County attractions on the website are the Dunkirk Lighthouse and Veterans Museum, and the Lily Dale Assembly.
Located at 48 W. Fifth St., the Ivy League Psychic Academy is a late 19th-century mansion that was later a funeral home for decades.
Owner Ivy Rivera purchased the property in 2021 after it had sat unused for about a dozen years. She renovated it and later moved her psychic academy there, from Grand Island.
Rivera offers monthly tours, geared to the history of the mansion and the alleged haunted occurences there. Along with her psychic academy’s activities, she also rents space for events and rooms on Airbnb.
After a January hiatus, the tours will resume Saturday.
