An incident that took place more than 16 months ago has led to the arrest of an Angola man.

On Aug. 14, 2021,an investigation was conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. It was determined that James W. Haskins, 42, was paid $2,500 to complete a roofing job in the town of Pomfret.

Haskins failed to purchase supplies or conduct any work on the roof. On Friday, Haskins turned himself in to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for the charge fourth-degree grand larceny. He will be arraigned at Chautauqua County CAP Court.
