Disabled vets to get City Hall parking

A sign designating a parking space for disabled military veterans is set for the Fourth Street curb next to City Hall.
“This has been in the works for quite some time — three years,” said Common Council member Nancy Nichols. She presented the sign at a recent meeting of the Department of Public Works Committee, which she chairs.
She said Police Chief David Ortolano has approved designating the parking spot for disabled veterans. The space is a few steps from the entrance to the police station.
The sign was crafted by Department of Public Works employees, Nichols added.
