Fredonia man charged in Brocton thefts
A Fredonia man is facing grand-larceny charges in regard to an incident that took place Tuesday afternoon.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center received a call reporting a burglary in progress at 133 Lake Ave. Lot 6. Upon arrival, investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and road patrol learned that it was not a burglary but a grand and petit larceny.
Adam J. Thornton, 42, of 32 Seymour St., was found in possession of stolen items from Lot 6 and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny for allegedly taking debit cards and petit larceny.
He was issued appearance tickets for above charges and is to bein Portland Court later. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by a member of the New York State Police.
