Sloppy conditions play role in area crashes

Slushy and slick conditions are responsible for a number of accidents throughout Chautauqua County on Friday. Some of those include:

— a car struck a buggy on Route 380 near Brocton. Brocton, Portland and county EMS responded.

— a van on its side in a ditch on Ball Hill Road. South Dayton Fire Department responded.

— around 5:13 p.m., a truck hit a tree on Route 394. Westfield Fire Department and county EMS responded. Driver refused treatment.

— at 5:25 p.m., Gerry, Sinclairville Fire Departments and county EMS responded to a rollover on Route 60 north between three miles past Gerry. Injuries were reported.

— at around 5:30 p.m., a vehicle reportedly went over an embankment in Ripley on Route 76. Injuries were reported. Ripley and county EMS responded.

— at around 7:05 p.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported on Route 60 near Webster Road. Fredonia Fire Department was responding.
