Credit union names scholarship winners

The Inner Lakes Federal Credit Union has recently announced their scholarship winners for the 2022-2023 school year. They include:

¯ First place, Sarah Davis, $1,500, Fredonia High School.

¯ Second place, Ryan Davis, $1,500, Fredonia School.

¯ Third place, Adam Lesch, $1,000, Fredonia High School.

¯ Fourth place, tied, Rylee Beers, $875, Fredonia High School and Esther Knappenberger, $875, Westfield Academy and Central School.

¯ Sixth place, Natalie Gilkinson, $750, Chautauqua Lake Central School.

¯ Seventh place, Gabriella Domenico, $500, Fredonia High School.

¯ Eighth place, Arianna Huber, $500, Fredonia High School.

Each year Inner Lakes awards these scholarships to area seniors who are headed to college. The applicants are judged from an essay, grades and test scores, as well as extracurricular activities and community involvement. The judging is done by the New York Credit Union Association, which is in Albany.

“We are excited to have so many young scholars in our credit union,” said Travis Heiser, Inner Lakes CEO. “And we are happy to play a small part in the lives of these outstanding young men and women by awarding them a scholarship. We are proud to have them as a part of Inner Lakes, and wish them success on their next step in life.
