Typing Bowl winners are letter perfect

On Monday, April 10, Brocton Elementary held the 2023 Typing Bowl featuring 20 student finalists in grades three to five.
These finalists were the top typists in the intermediate school. These students competed in a live head-to-head one minute type off on stage.
Each of the 20 finalists received a medal and a special t-shirt and were cheered on by a very excited audience full of their peers, teachers, administrators, and families.
At the end, the third-place trophy went to Cora Sam, grade four; Joshua Lanski, grade five took second place with Wesley Samin grade five taking home the trophy for first place.
A fanfare of confetti rained down on the winners and all the finalists as students danced to music and celebrated their classmates.
Afterwards, there was a reception full of treats for all 20 finalists and their families. Finalists and winners were greeted with a hero's welcome as they returned to class. The event was organized by Kristin Zappie, dlementary computers teacher.
The finalists included: Joshua Lanski, Cora Sam, Ronald Powless, Wesley Sam, Jaxen Frary, Lyla Camacho, Aleya Newell, Ayden Berry, Chimera Burton, Lila Deering, Michael Blake, Hector Rivera, Michele Hazelton, Jordan Lindstron, Neil Bundy, Keegan Krauter, Colton Blackman, Bentley Huber, Emma Morrison and Lexxi Jaworski.
