No one was injured and a dog was rescued from a house fire by first responders in Falconer on Sunday morning.
According to Billy Furlow, public information officer for the department, crews arrived at 221 E. Pearl St. around 10:15 a.m. with flames coming from the left side of the structure and in the attic.
“In a heroic display of bravery, the initial responders from (Falconer Fire Department), Ellicott Police and Chautauqua County EMS, managed to rescue a German Shepherd from the blaze, reaffirming our commitment to both human and animal safety,” Furlow wrote.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, as authorities work diligently to ascertain the factors that contributed to the incident.
