Westfield author plans signings

Author Trenton Lutes has come up with his second book.

Trenton Lutes, local artist turned author of Westfield, is at it again having recently published “Beyond The Wasted Lands: Book Two of The Terra-Healers.”

To celebrate, he will be on-hand for three book signing/meet the author events across Chautauqua County over the next few months. His first book, “In-Spire: Book One of The Terra-Healers,” a young adult dystopian fiction set in the distant future that follows a young group of friends with pollution powered abilities, known as Terra-Healers, performed extremely well during its first few weeks on Amazon and the second book is already showing similar success.

Lutes’s second book picks up a year after the end of In-Spire and continues to follow the adventures of Wolvf, his sister, Eren, and their friends as they travel beyond the Wasted Lands in search of aid to face a familiar threat.

As they travel they have to wonder: Who will they meet in their journeys? Will they be friends or foes? What Terra-Healer abilities might they wield? Will they be in time to save their new home? And how will they all survive such turbulent times?

Residents can join Lutes, who will be doing a reading from his book, as well as signing copies, at three different locations between the end of September and the end of November.

The first, at the Lake Shore Center for the Arts in Westfield, will take place on Friday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. The second event will be at The Good Neighbor Bookstore in Lakewood on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. The third will take place at The Next Chapter Bookstore in Fredonia, on Saturday, Nov. 25, Small Business Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1p.m.

“These are just the first few events I’ve been able to schedule so far,” states Lutes.

“I do have an event at the Ripley Library in February of next year and I am also talking to the Patterson Library in Westfield and Barnes and Noble in Amherst in an attempt to schedule more.”

Initial reviews for Lutes’s second book have been quite complimentary.

Lutes will have copies of both books on-hand and for signing and purchase during all three events. However, if you would like to pre-purchase a paperback copy, you can do so on Amazon at: www.amazon.com/author/trentonlutes. You can also visit Good Neighbor Bookstore in Lakewood or Genres in Westfield to pick up a copy of his first book.

Also, don’t forget to check out other great events going on at all the locations mentioned during the months of September, October and November.
