Couple reunited, running Wanderlust Custard

Erica Caccamise and James Powers opened Wanderlust Custard in Westfield.

WESTFIELD — Peaches and Herb sang “Reunited and it feels so good. … We both are so excited cause we’re reunited.”

Well after dating for three years while students at Fredonia State and then going their own separate ways, 30 years later Erica Caccamise and James Powers reunited and opened Wanderlust Custard in Westfield.

In July 2023, they opened their doors with scrumptious custard flavors like Cotton Candy, Salted Caramel, Birthday Cake and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

In the non-dairy side there’s Mango, Tropical Rainbow, Candy Fish and Root Beer. With Spumoni and Italian Ice there’s something for everyone.

But that’s just the beginning with a background in gourmet cooking and catering in September they launched full course meals for take out changing every two weeks.

With recent dinners including lobster bisque, gumbo and jambalaya coming soon an Italian dinner.

Viva La Italy with a planned Osso Bunco. This is traditionally made with a veal shank, vegetable and a potato. Residents can call ahead to order and check out their website www.wanderlustcustard.com.

With catering special events filling their dance card quickly, Wanderlust Custard is located at 29 Elm Street 716-232-4069.
