A Frewsburg business has been able to complete a purchase of a tool and die shop in Gerry, after getting assistance from the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from June 12-21.

During that time period, Universal Tooling Corp. of Gerry sold 4533 Rt. 60, Gerry to LINC Products & Service, LLC of Frewsburg for $300,000.

In March, the county IDA Board of Directors approved two loans totaling $225,000 for LINC Product and Services to assist with the acquisition of UTC.

LINC, a small, Native American-owned business which is certified as a New York State Minority and/or Women-owned Business Enterprise, specializes in business development/technical sales; supply services for machine tools, tooling, and manufacturing equipment; supply services for raw materials; and subcontract services for manufacturing and construction.

UTC is a full-service production computer numerical control machining business. It is focused on injection mold tooling, tool and die, and contract manufacturing services.

In a separate sale, TBR Development, LLC of Frewsburg sold 112-114 E. Second St., Jamestown to James Holzborn for $45,000. This appears to be a vacant commercial building. On the building is a historical marker that states this was the site of the Ahlstrom Piano Company from 1875-1926.

In another unrelated sale, 1320 Stebbins Road, Hanover was sold to Erdle Farm Partnership of Silver Creek for $74,000. Erdle Farm Partnership has a blueberry picking farm on Hanford Road, in Hanover as well.

Also during this time period, Upper New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church sold 3183 Open Meadow Road, North Harmony to Brad Lovall for $15,000. At one time this apparently was Open Meadows Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Including the previously mentioned sale, from June 12-21 there were nine sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:
