Library brings market to Silver Creek

The FeedMore WNY Farm Market truck will be in Silver Creek weekly.

SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, at 43 Main St., has partnered with FeedMore WNY to host The Farm Market every Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon. Located behind the library, the truck will have a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices for anyone who would like to stop by.

The Farm Market provides access to fresh, locally grown and sourced produce when available. During times when locally sourced produce is unavailable, The Farm Market will partner with area wholesalers to provide an abundance of food items. The goal of this program is to reduce the number of “food deserts” in Western New York – areas that do not have consistent access to fresh food.

The Farm Market accepts cash, credit/debit cards and SNAP as payment and fresh produce is available until sold out. Available produce fluctuates depending on what is in season, so stop back often! A typical Farm Market stop will have between six and 12 varieties of fruits or vegetables.
