Roger G. Chagnon, Jr. and Deborah (Bowen) Chagnon of Westfield joyfully celebrate 50 years of marriage on June 28, 2025. The couple were married at the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield on June 28, 1975. They are the parents of a daughter, Heather Chagnon Gruenbaum, with her husband, David Benjamin Gruenbaum, of Santa Rosa, CA, and a son, Roger G. Chagnon III, with his wife, Jackie Chagnon, of Westfield. They are the grandparents of Caroline and Rachel Gruenbaum of Santa Rosa, CA, and Ella and Roger IV Chagnon, of Westfield. Mr. Chagnon is retired from being a college professor at Jamestown Business College and Mercyhurst University, and Mrs. Chagnon is retired from being a 6th grade teacher at Ripley Central School. The Chagnons will celebrate their Golden Anniversary dining at The White Inn in Fredonia and with festivities surrounded by their children and grandchildren.
