There’s been some minor progress regarding the Fredonia water system, but a boil order will remain in effect through at least Tuesday.

In a report issued on the Fredonia Office of Emergency Management Facebook page, officials noted that turbidity levels in the system continue to trend downward, “which is a positive sign — however, they are still too high for regulatory testing to begin.”

At least one employee is no longer tied to the water department. Trustees indicated on Friday afternoon that a resignation had been tendered to the village.
