The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from June 18-24.

During this time period, Tom Anzalone Properties, LLC sold 5117 West Lake Road, Chautauqua town to Daniel Kenzie for $300,000. This is the location of the former Redline Drive-In Restaurant.

That restaurant closed after the 2017 season.

According to the restaurant’s website, in the early 1960s it opened as one of the summer car-hop “Dogs & Suds” locations that were springing up across the country. By the mid ’70’s there were 600 of these little drive-in restaurants in 38 states and Canada.

85 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood was sold in June for $565,000.

“Our family renovated and reopened this drive-in, renaming it ‘Redline Drive-In’ in 2004,” the website states.

No announcement has been made for the property’s future.

In a separate sale, 85 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, was sold to Girts Road MT, LLC for $565,000. This location has a State Farm Insurance business there. It used to have Wellness Awakening Health Center, but the sign for the business has been removed. There is also a business called A.M. Beauty Bar & Hair Studio that relocated there in May.

Also during this time, 805 Main St., Dunkirk was sold to Wells Enterprises, Inc. for $250,000. Over the past three months, Wells has purchased five residences on Main Street.

The ice cream plant is currently upgrading its ice cream plant, spending hundreds of millions of dollars in multiple phases.

In another sale, Scott Humble sold 7 Jackson Ave., Ellicott, to Mitchener Realty, LLC of Falconer for $150,000. This is the address of the Scott Humble Law office. The law office’s website continues to advertise that location for its practice.

Including the sales previously mentioned, from June 18-24 there were 11 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– Condominium Unit 2A, 26 Palestine Ave., Chautauqua Institution sold for $263,250.

– 6012 Mill Road, Chautauqua town sold for $255,000.

– 3389 Old Fluvanna Road, Ellicott sold for $250,000.

– 8490 Hahn Road, Pomfret sold for $250,000.
