Brocton names top students for month

BROCTON — Students of the Month have been announced for September in the Brocton Central Schools.

Brocton Middle School is proud to announce Chloe Napierala, a hard working and talented seventh-grader. Chloe lives in Westfield with her parents, Mike and Jill Napierala.

Chloe is actively involved in school and community life. She plays modified volleyball, participates on the Lakeside Blizzards travel softball team, and is a participant of Little League softball and Art Club. She has been part of the chorus and proudly represented our school at All County for two consecutive years. Chloe’s artwork was featured in a Westfield art show, and she consistently achieves high honors on the honor roll.

Her favorite subjects are Art and Home and Careers. Chloe hopes to become a teacher, run a daycare, or even be a paleontologist one day.

Outside of school, Chloe enjoys sports, drawing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends and family. She has a variety of pets including a dog, ducks, chickens, turkeys, and quail–and she dreams of adding a bearded dragon and an albino king snake to her collection. A fan of rock music, her favorite band is Alice Cooper, and she loves Halloween. Some of her favorite foods are Dr. Pepper, steak, chips, French onion soup, her dad’s chicken, Panda Paws ice cream, and Frank’s hot sauce on almost everything.

Chloe’s greatest treasures are her parents and her dog, who mean the world to her.

Brocton High School is honoring senior Yael Alvarez. Son of Zayly Heyliger and Luis Alvarez, he is a proud resident of Brocton who brings his own unique interests and goals to the senior class.

While Yael does not participate in school clubs or sports, he stands out for his clear focus on his future. His favorite subject is World Cultures, reflecting a curiosity about the world beyond his community.

After graduation, Yael plans to pursue a career as a truck driver, a goal he is excited to work toward. Outside of school, he enjoys riding his dirt bike, a hobby that brings him joy and adventure when he’s not in the classroom.

Starting at $3.50/week.
